Win was born and raised in Greenwich, CT. It was not until his senior year at Greenwich High School that he realized his talents as a writer when he was awarded the Lilian Davies Butler Short Story Award for his original piece, "Checkmate." From there, his passions lead him to pursue a degree in Creative Writing at The Johns Hopkins University. For his first two years, he focused his efforts in fiction and poetry, however upon the discovery of play writing and screen writing, he turned his attention to the more action oriented, visual styles of writing. He switched his minor from Business to Film & Media Studies and began taking courses in film production to better understand the entire process of film making from the first breath of an idea to the last image of a film.

Upon graduating from the Johns Hopkins University in 2006 with a Major in Writing Seminars, Minor in Film & Media Studies and a Focus in Business, Win decided he wanted to travel and see the world. He moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina where he began a small real estate venture and continued writing. For two years, he worked and lived in Capital Federal in the neighborhoods of Palermo (where Jorge Luis Borges lived and most of his stories took place) and Recoleta. He perfected his Spanish and even became a member of Club Atletico River Plate where he played Premiere League Water Polo for one season.

In 2008, he returned to the States to pursue his passion for film. He moved to an apartment in the Lower East Side of Manhattan and began writing, directing and producing viral videos for a popular men's website. He also took a position with the Tribeca Film Festival as a Jury Liaison, coordinating schedules and accompanying to screenings established writers, directors and actors from the New York area.
